    The Quadratic Shortest Path Problem and its Genetic Algorithm

    The quadratic shortest path (QSP) problem is to find a path from a node to another node in a given network such that the total cost includes two kinds of costs, say direct cost and interactive cost, is minimum. The direct cost is the cost associated with each arc and the interactive cost occurs when two arcs appear simultaneously in the shortest path. In this paper, the concept of the quadratic shortest path is initialized firstly. Then a spanning tree-based genetic algorithm is designed for solving the quadratic shortest path problem. Finally, a numerical example is given

    Synchronization between Different Networks with Time-Varying Delay and Its Application in Bilayer Coupled Public Traffic Network

    In order to study the dynamic characteristics of urban public traffic network, this paper establishes the conventional bus traffic network and the urban rail traffic network based on the space R modeling method. Then regarding these two networks as the subnetwork, the paper presents a new bilayer coupled public traffic network through the transfer relationship between subway and bus, and this model well reflects the connection between the passengers and bus operating vehicles. Based on the synchronization theory of coupling network with time-varying delay and taking “Lorenz system” as the network node, the paper studies the synchronization of bilayer coupled public traffic network. Finally, numerical results are given to show the impact of public traffic dispatching, delayed departure, the number of public bus stops between bus lines, and the number of transfer stations between two traffic modes on the bilayer coupled public traffic network balance through Matlab simulation

    Coordination Game Analysis through Penalty Scheme in Freight Intermodal Service

    We study coordination mechanisms through penalty schemes to cooperate the behavior of two firms as successive segment carriers to make transport plan separate in freight intermodal market. Based on the different cost structure and service level constraint to two firms, we compare the decision making in two possible decision systems, that is, centralized system and decentralized system. In a centralized system-the first best case as a benchmark is contrasted with decentralized system. In the decentralized system, a Stackelberg game model is formulated between two firms. Some discordant decisions would be made by firm I's overestimate motivation and firm II's undersupply motivation. Our primary objective is to design penalty schemes to coordinate the interactions for two firms. The study shows in a decentralized system, setting suitable penalty schemes can coordinate the two firms' decision. We also study the feasible range of penalty parameters, and some important managerial insights are then deduced. In the end, a numerical example is provided to verify the validity of results, some concluding remarks are presented subsequently

    Coopetition in Intermodal Freight Transport Services

    The paper studies the coopetition of the downstream different carriers by providing complementary transport services in intermodal freight transport chain. Considering different information structure, a two-stage dynamic game model with simultaneous actions on investment and price is first formulated. Equilibria show both parties have motivation to select coopetition even if the agreement for cooperation investment is reached in advance. When both firms agree on the specific allocation, the new coopetition with higher efficiency would be emerged. Moreover, we analyze the complexity and evolution of coopetition by repeated pricing game with finitely and infinitely time horizon. In the finitely repeated pricing game, both firms have incentive to reach a tacit understanding to alternate choosing price cooperation and competition after setting suitable allocation scheme; the repeated periods t are then going to be an issue. In the infinitely repeated pricing game, the perfect cooperation is realized by designing the suitable trigger strategy

    Properties and Photocatalytic Activity of β

    β-Ga2O3 nanorods are prepared by hydrothermal method and characterized by X-ray diffraction, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and photoluminescence spectra. The results reveal that high crystallinity, monoclinic phase of β-Ga2O3 nanorods were prepared with a diameter of about 60 nm and length of 500 nm. Photoluminescence study indicates that the β-Ga2O3 nanorods exhibit a broad blue light emission at room temperature. The β-Ga2O3 nanorods displayed high photocatalytic activity under simulated solar irradiation; after 2 h irradiation, over 95% of methylene blue solution and over 90% of methyl orange solution were decolorized. Since this process does not require additional hydrogen peroxide and uses solar light, it can be developed as an economically feasible and environmentally friendly method to treat dye effluent

    Photocatalytic Activity Enhancement of Anatase TiO 2

    We employed high-energy ball-milling technique to fabricate TiO/TiO2 heterogeneous nanostructures. XRD proved the existence of TiO/TiO2 heterogeneous structures. SEM and HRTEM investigation evidenced that the mean particle size and mean grain size of the as-prepared samples are 23 nm and 13 nm, respectively. UV-Vis spectra exhibited that TiO has enhanced the visible light absorption of TiO2 and has changed the Eg of TiO2. UPS examination indicated that the electron work function (EWF) of TiO is higher than that of TiO2. Photocatalytic degradation experiments revealed that an appropriate TiO content can enhance the photocatalytic activity of pure anatase TiO2. The best photocatalytic activity of TiO/TiO2 heterogeneous nanostructures is even better than that of Au-deposited TiO2 by keeping high degradation efficiency of 93%. The internal electrical field producing in TiO/TiO2 heterogeneous nanostructures was considered to be dominantly responsible for the enhanced photocatalytic activity. Therefore, the substitution of TiO with noble metal in TiO2 will be widely used in the future due to its low cost. This study also provides a clear direction of enhancing photocatalytic activity of TiO2: incorporating a guest compound into TiO2 with an appropriate content if the compound has much higher electron work function than that of TiO2

    UniDexGrasp: Universal Robotic Dexterous Grasping via Learning Diverse Proposal Generation and Goal-Conditioned Policy

    In this work, we tackle the problem of learning universal robotic dexterous grasping from a point cloud observation under a table-top setting. The goal is to grasp and lift up objects in high-quality and diverse ways and generalize across hundreds of categories and even the unseen. Inspired by successful pipelines used in parallel gripper grasping, we split the task into two stages: 1) grasp proposal (pose) generation and 2) goal-conditioned grasp execution. For the first stage, we propose a novel probabilistic model of grasp pose conditioned on the point cloud observation that factorizes rotation from translation and articulation. Trained on our synthesized large-scale dexterous grasp dataset, this model enables us to sample diverse and high-quality dexterous grasp poses for the object point cloud.For the second stage, we propose to replace the motion planning used in parallel gripper grasping with a goal-conditioned grasp policy, due to the complexity involved in dexterous grasping execution. Note that it is very challenging to learn this highly generalizable grasp policy that only takes realistic inputs without oracle states. We thus propose several important innovations, including state canonicalization, object curriculum, and teacher-student distillation. Integrating the two stages, our final pipeline becomes the first to achieve universal generalization for dexterous grasping, demonstrating an average success rate of more than 60\% on thousands of object instances, which significantly outperforms all baselines, meanwhile showing only a minimal generalization gap.Comment: Accepted to CVPR 202

    Risk factors for diabetic foot ulcers mortality and novel negative pressure combined with platelet-rich plasma therapy in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers

    The purpose of this study was to assess the risk factors for morbidity and mortality of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). For the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) combined with platelet-rich plasma-fibrin glue (PRP) was also investigated. There were 653 patients in the diabetic foot ulcer group and 510 patients in the diabetic patients without foot ulceration (NFU) group, for a total of 1163 patients in the study samples after individuals without follow-up were excluded. The patients were randomized into two groups: the negative pressure wound therapy group and the negative pressure wound therapy combined with the PRP group. The findings of the univariate analysis revealed the blood indicators for predicting diabetic foot ulcer morbidity risk factors, such as C-reactive protein, albumin, creatinine, alkaline phosphatase, procalcitonin, platelets, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, β-2-microglobulin, monocyte ratio, low-density protein cholesterol (LDL), triglyceride, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aminotransferase (AST), creatine kinase (CK) and total cholesterol. Using logistic regression analysis revealed only albumin and age to be independent predictors of diabetic foot ulcer mortality. Our study also revealed that, compared to negative pressure wound therapy alone, negative pressure wound therapy combined with PRP accelerated wound healing and reduced the mortality rate. According to the findings of this pilot study, new risk factors for diabetic foot ulcer morbidity and mortality have been found, and negative pressure wound therapy combined with PRP therapy may provide the first information that it is an effective adjunct treatment for diabetic foot ulcers

    This dissertation encompasses my research work during my Ph.D. career, focusing on the controllability properties of liquid crystal flow. I have achieved two main results, which are as follows: Firstly, I have established the local exact controllability to the trajectory of the simplified Ericksen-Leslie model and its Ginzburg-Landau approximation. Secondly, I have successfully proven the global null controllability of the simplified Ericksen-Leslie model with Lions boundary condition for u and Neumann boundary condition for d, with the aid of a globally defined magnetic field which is independent of the spatial variable x. </p
